Explora Science Center
Explora is Albuquerque's premiere family learning center for visitors of all ages. With over 250 interactive science, technology and art exhibits, Explora tempts the imagination, inspires discovery and promotes curiosity in all minds. It houses scientific exhibits such as water, the Rio Grande, light and optics, biological perception, and energy. Visitors can participate in exhibits utilizing technology and exhibits in creating many forms of art. Discover a new way of looking at the performing arts in the Explora Theater. Explora’s IDEAS Shop offers educational books, hands-on science kits, constructive toys and challenging puzzles for all ages.

Directions:
Take I-40 to Rio Grande exit South. Go to the Mountain Road light on Rio Grande and turn left coming from I-40, near the entrance to Old Town. Go East (left) on Mountain, just past the New Mexico Museum of Natural History on your left. Turn left on 18th Street that separates New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Explora, turning to the right into the Explora parking lot.
